The Mother of all Storms

Wow, that was scary. I had to drive home in the mother of all storms. Most people in Fresno are not good drivers. They are ok, but they are not as good as those in SF and LA and OC. Some are, but most are not. Add to that crap being blown about by the wind.... sheesh. Lightening galore too! So much of it man. I heard the thunder and knew the lightening and rain were on its way. Scary... they said on the radio, that if you can hear the thunder you are close enough to be struck by lightening... I laughed, but man, that's scary stuff.

Another 49er loss

This sucks.... the Niners have no heart, no offense, and suck to high heaven. With the exception of the Blue Raiders, all my teams suck ass man. Niners, suck. Bulldogs, Suck. Lakers....suck. Sheesh.

Feeling a bit better now

or So I am feeling much better now. I called one of my best friends and turns out he is in town this week and not in San Jose..... he goes up that way to plan his wedding. He said one of these days I have to go caking with him.... caking haha. So we are going to chill tonight. Also made a pot of jookchinese rice soup using a chicken from costco. Not sure what we will be doing tonight, maybe I'll take him to the Asian bar for some Sake or grab some sushi or pizza. Maybe just chill and watch a DVD who knows.

I hate being alone

Trust me I am fine with the split. I've accepted it and moved on. Looking back it was for the best. The one thing that I can not get used to is being alone. I mean true I have my kitties and my parents and friends. But for example, this weekend, my best friends are busy, one up north, one down south. Outside of school I don't really do much.... it must be no wonder I throw myself so much into my work. I think it is there that I am without a shadow of a doubt truly happy. Outside of work I am happy most of the time. It is days like this that feel it. Bored, lonely, and feeling empty. I sometimes wonder if I did this to myself or... if Karma is a bitch, what I did to others to deserve this. It sucks. But I'll get over it too. Still not up to seeing movies by myself.... It was sad man, I went to the Asian Bar that I like to watch the Fresno State Game. First time I drank alone.... but don't you worry, I still am not a fan of the drink and I know my limit. I must have wasted like 20-25% of my Lychee Sake, which by the way totally rules. But man I felt like crap when the Bartender asked me if I was waiting for someone..... Who goes to a bar alone I guess..... it's true.... man not sure if I could eat out alone or even see a movie alone. I guess I am more social than I thought... strange huh. Well I'll have to get over it.... I am positive that I can learn to be alone, live alone, eat alone, drink alone, and most of all be happy alone. I have a long lonely trip ahead of me, but I know that I can do it. I always have. That is the only thing that I am sure of, that I will succeed in whatever I do. Even if that success is achieved alone.

The East-West Mafia

So at school, with Tennis season over, I am focusing on getting my After School Programs up and running. The first one is the much talked about WWE After School Program. This one is going to be a lot of work. Kids will be picking a Wrestler of the Month and then we study that wrestler. Everything from character development to finishing moves and heel turns will be looked at. The kids will also be creating a fantasy league with my help. This is the hard part. There is no physical contact, this is all writing and analytical skills. But talking about WWE and wrestling in general seems to excite a lot of kids, boys and girls. They will also create their own wrestlers for this league and help in booking and writing matches with my help. As a bonus I was told we also get to design shirts and well ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO PRINT THEM. How cool is that? A free self designed shirt for each kid!!!! SWEET!!!

Well to promote these ASP I have been bringing championship belts to school. I had to borrow The Rear Admiral Lower Half's. I've taken pictures of the kids with them, and well.... I took one with one of my fellow teachers. He is a cool guy... however we did get ribbed for this haha So I give you the East-West Mafia!!!

Relatives here today

So today the relatives are a coming. I need to get going to the classroom soon. After I check up on something with my Jamba card. I just might do it in the classroom. Trying to keep my head up. While I am doing great at school and am happy at school, I am a bit lonely at home. The units are fine, but it's not the same. Can't wait until I get my own place. However then I will have to cook for myself hahahaha it's a good price to pay really. I have BTSA and our last games is this coming week... oh and I have Saturday school next saturday MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I will play the lucky song the whole time. I'll probably visit the sat school teacher today to see what does go on and what not as I have no idea. ok that is it for this mini update. I've noticed I blog less and less these days... busy busy busy....

Brett Favre

I am not the biggest Brett Farve fan, in fact most of the time I hate him. But this season, the old man is playing like he was in his prime. It is amazing. As a football fan, I am in awe of what he is doing this season. Who knows the Packers could be a team of destiny this year.

The Infamous Crown, did I spell that right?

Well perhaps after I told you about the crown that the two Germans thought was like a Pope's Crown you'd like to see the picture yourself. So here it is. HERE IT IS!!! OH YEAH!!!!!

Oh yeah and that is only half of what you want to see... this below is what the kids saw as I strutted down the hall. I got many a chuckle, wide eyed looks, and wows. I think the students believe that I am strange, I am also known to wear a black and pink Hello Kitty backpack to our tennis matches. Hey what can I say, it holds our first aide kits and other needed papers just right. Don't hate, appreciate! hahaha. Too much Haterade. But I love it, the kids do too.

So cool! The pope? hahahaha Got to love those German exchange students... oh I've also been known to wield a light sabre at football games as I guard my gate.... nice huh.

Homecoming

Well I have now survived my first Homecoming and Caruthers Fair week. I guess this is the big two for new teachers. The third will be graduation. Fair week was not that bad. I had a few away games, but for the most part it was ok and besides the drama on the team. I think that the team is a little better off now. But not at 100%. We have a new ladder and captain for the second half. Speaking of Tennis, I worked a small portion of the boosters food booth, that was crazy, Coach Unit worked the bulk of it, and I am thankful that he did. I guarded my gate with ease during the fair game.

Homecoming was different. I was a judge at the rally on Friday. I wore Disney on Monday, A lame but funny Pope/Bishop like crown on Tuesday, and nothing on Mickey Mouse day. I guarded my gate and watched JV dominate and Varsity struggle a little bit. My awesome blue light saber was a hit with everyone. Apparently because I was in all black and a blue tie, from the stands you could see the blade (like I promised) but you couldn't see me. So you'd just see the blade flying around hahaha. NICE!

After the game I just wanted to see what the Homecoming dance looked like as I never went to my own high school dances. In fact I have more school spirit today than I did in college and in High School. In college I had Alpha Phi Omega pride! Well I was not scheduled for the dance but ended up staying. Again my jedi blade provided good entertainment and I saw a lot more of my kids. Me and the kids know each other better now so it is all good. Not as strange as before. I talked to them, joked with them and well didn't dance with them, but showed them what little moves I had hahaha.

Well time to work on other stuff. Have a good weekend, though I may post again... probably will since I am an internet junking... so sad.

It finally happened

Well our girls finally lost 0-9. It was to the team in the league and beats up on every one. So we are now 0-5 in league. Again I don't mind losing cause my girls found a personal win. Only two of the teams got blanked today. Our number 3 doubles (two beginners) and our Number 3, who was a target because she beat them last time. Other than that we did ok. The other team would get SOOOOOO pissed when we would win a game, but lose the match. They have a drawing that if you beat a girl 8-0 you get a ticket or something. WHat the hell is that? One of my girls was losing 3-0 and I talked to her and asked her how she was doing. Gave her a funny but serious pep talk that involved walkign into their house and drinking from their fridge. And not to get bageled. I told her, you win one game, just watch how pissed off she gets. She won that next game and true enough her girl got pissed and complained about not getting a ticket. Fun huh. oh well. My girls come out smiles and that is what makes it worth it.

Niner Pics

Ok ok so the Niners lost big time which totally sucked. It was a "Total System Failure" on the offensive end. By Greythorns Hammer, What a shame.

It was too early for Third Down Thunder

The Rear Admirals Leathered up with Jerseys for the Game

The Read Admirals outside Candlestick Park

The whole Niner Game Gang Niner the Lower Half

Posing Old School Style

Chili Cheese Nachos

I got two words for ya!!

Jesus Mahony aka Drunk Seahawk Fan

My first time at Candlestick, it was like the motherland!

Had to post a pic of the Units

We smirk because it was a good time, even though we lost.

The game was fun. Had a great time. But I did learn that the So Cal girls are much better looking than Nor Cal Girls. Well atleast the type of girls who show up to sporting events. I know that is very shallow, but it was just an observation.

Still Busy! :(

Back to School Night went really well. I had 13-14 families stop by. I need to figure out a better way to talk to families instead of by the door as I had a traffic jam. hahaha Well it felt great to meet parents, both the English speakers and non. I got to use what little Spanish I know. HA But I didn't sing the One Semester of Spanish Love Song hahahaha.

For the most part one of three types of students came with their families. 1) The students who's A in my class is one of their few A's. 2) Students who parents wanted to meet ALL their teachers. 3) Students who I am one of their favorite teachers.

I also was awarded the "Jedi Knight Award" for wearing neon Green gloves at Traffic duty and bearing a toy lightsabre at the football game to guard my gate ;)

I promise by the end of the day you will see a TON, a TON of Niner game pics. They are already at my photobucket account. So hang in there folks, all like 2 of you who read this hahaha

Back to School Night

Today will be my first back to school night with the high school. This will be interesting. I need to go out to Tennis and then I wait in my class for parents. I may need to get something to eat, but I have a PBJ. So I should be fine.

I will report later on the Back to School night and post pics from the Niner game.
