Wingman's Job is never done

Well it seems so. Today after what was a good 2-3 mile walk with the Rear Admiral Lower Half, the two Rear Admirals (remember I'm the Upper Half) went to Sushi. After which The Lower Half needed a fresh pack of Cigs. So we stopped off at the Walgreens next to the place. The cashier was not old enough to sell cigs so they called an older person over. She was Asian, which the Lower Half likes, and she had a great smile, which the Lower Half really liked.... My friend peeps, not my lower half... sheesh. So after he bought the cigs, he went outside and smoked a pack I suggested that he go talk to her and get her number. He did not do it, but he honestly thought about it. He really did. Now this does not seem like much, but for my friend the fact that he ALMOST went in and talked to her instead of automatically saying NO was huge. There is hope for him yet. A wingman's job is never done.

The critters I spend time with in Lemoore.

I was over at the girlfriend's home yesterday. Had my hair cut in Hanford, then had lunch and helped them take down the nutcrackers that I helped put up in December. Which reminds me time to put my Christmas tree away too haha. Well I had a mini photo session with her household pets.

This is Quinn, she is the dog of the house. She is spoiled and rightfully so. She is cute and likes all attention on her. She has a new found love for Electric Blankets

This kitty looks like Flick. Her name is Pezi. Named after Pez. This is one of my girlfriend's sister's cats. I was surprised to get this as Pezi is normally VERY camera shy, but as my sister would say, she mugged for me.

This is the other cat of the house, Lexi. She is a big girl and has finally decided that I am ok enough for her to grace me with her presence. She is a sweetie as are all the pets in this household.

WOW, just a side note, since I joined Ravelry they prefer that you sign up for FlickR so I did... wow the pictures are bigger hahaha

Ravelry and Pogo

Well my invite to Ravelry finally came in and I joined so I can post furmiliating pictures of Flick in the practice swatches I knit. Maybe next will be a scarf for Flick or Quinn hahaha. I need to work on my swatch today.

Also one of the Units is addicted to Pogo.com. So much that she only started like two or three months ago and she has earned MORE tokens than me. I've been on pogo for like 4 years.... I don't play as much as her, but still.... she has more than DOUBLE my tokens.... sheesh.

Will post some pictures of pets soon.... er later today haha

Update on Practice Swatch

So here are some of the pictures of the practice swatch. I will be heading downtown to drop off some teacher related stuff, then I'll be back and will knit some more before I hopefully go out with the girl friend :)

Wildtomato, my sister got me this thing that lets the yarn sit safe from Flick, and actually makes things a bit easier.

Below you will find some photos of my progress

more to come later.

The new practice Swatch!

I'll post pictures in the morning or later tomorrow. But started my second practice knit swatch. It's blue, but if I square it out it might have different colors in it.... time will tell. I am pretty good at cast ons. They are fun. The knits are ok.... I just knit a little tight so it can be a PITA to get the needles in.... I tend to do TOO many cast ons so it is long.... but if I square it off I should be fine..... Knitting help is fun, but I have to try to learn everything backwards as I am left handed. Boy I am missing my sister's left handed knitting buddy.... purls will be extra tough.... oh well.... I'll finish with my knit swatch :)

Get Lean

Ok, not really talking about weight, but I guess I could afford to get lean.... My brother in law did fix my bike as much as he could so now the brakes squeak less! WOOT! I won't be telegraphing my arrival for three blocks.

Well the lean part is a reference to my effort to slim down my Movie collection. I have an idea that may help. I want to cut my collection of movies (NOT TV Shows) down to 100 of my favorite movies.... meaning in order for a movie to make it into my top 100 after the cut it would have to replace one..... my girl friend thinks this will be hard as she sees my collector side. However if I add Net Flicks to the equation I may be able to do this. I'll have to make my cuts (pre move) and see.... I think I can do this... I'll post more on my efforts later. I guess next would be my books too...... sigh... it is hard for me as I am naturally a collector. But with my new place being small.... maybe I can have a mini garage sale or something... hey Rear Admiral Lower Half.... we should totally have a sale at your place haha
